December Art in the Library Exhibit

The library welcomes the public to view their December “Art in the Library” exhibit featuring Life in the Northwoods Photography by Mike and Marshia Crowley. Their artwork will be on display throughout the library during regular business hours.

Mike and Marshia retired and moved to Northern Wisconsin in 1998. They both always loved taking photos of wildlife and scenery. There are so many beautiful places and so much wildlife around that they never ran out of anything to photograph. They decided to share their “Life in the Northwoods” with anyone who was interested in nature, wildlife, and scenic photography.

The Crowley’s created a website and Facebook page for Life in the Northwoods – with thousands of followers on Facebook from all over the world. Their photography has also been featured in Our Wisconsin magazine, Lake Superior Magazine, and the Our Wisconsin calendar.

Mike passed away in March of 2022 after a long and courageous battle with Lewy Body dementia, but Marshia continues taking photos for Life in the Northwoods. She posts photos daily on their Life in the Northwoods Facebook page. Marshia is also a volunteer here at the library!

Life in the Northwoods artwork can be purchased from their website or at Moondeer & Friends Gallery in downtown Boulder Junction. Marshia also donates Life in the Northwoods notecards which are sold by the Friends of the Boulder Junction Library.
