Ditch the Dish: Streaming Media 101
January 19 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Want to learn how to cut the cable and start streaming your media? Curious about how to make all those streaming services work for you? The Boulder Junction Public Library will host a free class called “Ditch the Dish: Streaming Media 101” on Wednesday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m. The class will be held in-person at the Boulder Junction Community Center with masks required. There is also an option to join the presentation in a live Zoom meeting. Call or email the library for the Zoom link. And the program will also be recorded and posted to the library’s YouTube channel after the presentation.
Librarian and tech enthusiast Teresa Schmidt will present an introduction to streaming video and other media. You’ll learn about some of the many services out there – Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube TV, Hulu, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, and more – and the equipment you’ll need to watch your favorite movies, shows, and live events on your TV. You’ll also get tips on how to find the media you want in the age of streaming.
This class is free and open to all. Bring your questions!
