Mindful Mandalas Class
February 28 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

The Boulder Junction Public Library will be offering a Mindful Mandalas Class on Tuesday, February 28 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Participation is free, but registration is required, and class size is limited to 15 people. The class will be held in the Boulder Junction Community Center.
Mindfulness is the act of bringing one’s attention back to the present moment–continuously and without judgement. The mind’s habit is to shuttle us from reflecting on the past, to worrying about the future, causing us to spend very little time focused on the present. This disconnection with our present reality has become more severe with the advent of smartphones, the high levels of stress in our modern day lives, and trauma in our communities.
Creating Art is a natural way to practice mindfulness. Come experience a fun way to meditate through art while creating a mandala. You don’t need any previous training; just a willingness to draw as a child draws, with freedom and a sense of curiosity. Activate your creativity while relaxing your mind and body! All materials are provided.

She has been published in Cloth Paper Scissors Magazine, Quilting Arts Magazine, and Interweave’s special publication devoted to journal making, called PAGES.
