Using Timelines in Your Genealogy Research

May 7, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Lois Abromitis Mackin, Ph.D.

The Northern Waters Genealogical Society invites you to their next meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, 6-7 pm, at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5392 Park Street with a Zoom option available. A brief business meeting will follow.

This month’s program is “Using Timelines in Your Genealogical Research” featuring speaker, Lois Abromitis Mackin, Ph.D. live via Zoom. Timelines (chronologies of events in the lives of your ancestral families) are a terrific genealogical tool. Not only can they help you solve problems and identify holes in your research, but they can also help you get ready to write up and share your findings.

Lois Abromitis Mackin, Ph.D., is a professional genealogist focusing on American and English research. Lois writes and teaches about genealogical records and methods, including DNA. She was a founding member of the Minnesota Genealogical Society DNA interest group. She is currently a state officer for several lineage societies and a member of the Education Committee of the Irish Genealogical Society International. She is also a past president of the Northland chapter of the Association of Professional Genealogists, a past officer of the Minnesota Genealogical Society, and a past member of the National Genealogical Society’s Delegate Council Steering Committee.

This program is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. For more information or to register for a Zoom option, please call 715-385-2050.
