Friends of the Library Wine, Beer & Cider Tasting Event is Back!
It’s back! The annual Friends of the Library Wine, Beer & Cider Tasting was canceled the past two years due to the pandemic but it will be back on this year!
The Friends of the Library will be hosting the event on Saturday, October 1 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Boulder Junction Community Center, 5392 Park Street, Boulder Junction.
The Friends will be offering a fantastic tasting selection of wine, beer, and cider from the following local businesses : Aqualand Alehouse, Boulder Junction Trading Post, Coontail, Gooch’s 2, and McGann’s Pub & Wine Bar. A variety of non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
For a donation of $20 at the door, the evening includes a logo tasting glass; one free general raffle ticket; the wine, beer and cider tasting; non-alcoholic beverages; and a hearty spread of delectable appetizers and desserts.
Guests will also have the opportunity to raise funds for the library through creative, unique and interesting basket raffles and silent auction items, including a hand-crafted wine cabinet made by Pastor Bob Anderson, cookbooks from the personal collection of Chef Jimmy Dean, and photo canvasses by Mike Crowley.
Raffle tickets will be offered for $1 each. Raffle tickets may only be purchased the night of the event and participants must be present to win. Silent auction items must be paid for and redeemed before the end of the event.
All proceeds from the event will be used to help with library operating expenditures such as children’s books, summer reading program supplies and prizes, author events, and more. Participants must be 21 years of age. For more information, call the Boulder Junction Public Library at 715-385-2050.
