Halloween Book Walk

The Boulder Junction Public Library will be offering a Halloween Book Walk starting Saturday, October 14 at the Boulder Junction Public Library Reading Garden and Boulder Junction Community Sports and Recreation Park, 5358 Park Street (Highway M), Boulder Junction.

To kick off the Halloween Book Walk, there will be an interactive walk on Saturday, October 14 from 10:30-11:30am. Children are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes as they enjoy special activities and handouts at the book stands along the way. Supplies will be limited. In case of bad weather, the activities may be held at the library.

The Halloween Book Walk will start at the Library Reading Garden, then go across the driveway to the path by the skate park and basketball courts, through the playground, then along the path around the baseball diamond. Directional arrows will point readers in the right direction.

The book the library has chosen for the Halloween Book Walk is We’re Going on a Pumpkin Hunt written by Goldie Hawk and illustrated by Angie Rozelaar. Three trick-or-treaters are looking for the perfect pumpkin on a beautiful Halloween night. They have to make their way through some sticky cobwebs, flying bats, and even a dark, spooky house! But they’re not scared. The trick-or-treaters eventually find their pumpkin and…a ghost!
