Meet Our New Team!
Effective March 1, 2026, Kate Frisk (currently Assistant Director) will succeed Cherie Sanderson as Library Director. And we’re thrilled to announce we have found Kate’s successor. Please help us welcome our new Library Assistant, Heather Sebero! Here’s a note of introduction from Heather:
Greetings, library patrons and friends, and community members. My name is Heather Sebero and I am the new Library Assistant. I am looking forward to meeting you and doing what I can to serve the Boulder Junction Public Library.
My spouse and I bought our home in Boulder Junction three summers ago after many years of relocating for school and work. We lived across the U.S., including Appleton and Madison, Wisconsin; Norman, Oklahoma; and Salt Lake City, Utah. I grew up in Marinette, Wisconsin, and earned my undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Utah. My previous professional experience spans public and behavioral health and health policy in governments, nonprofits, and higher education.
On most days you can find my spouse and I exploring the Northwoods or doing a home improvement project. We are often spotted on a local lake or river kayaking, or biking the local trails. I am also an aspiring gardener. I have two raised beds for produce and flowers and I put in a rain garden. We spend much of our winter on the slopes skiing and the trails snowshoeing. I volunteer throughout the community with the Manitowish Waters Women’s Service League and the North Lakeland Discovery Center. I also coach Girls on the Run at North Lakeland. Go Bucks!
