November Art in the Library Exhibit
The Boulder Junction Public Library welcomes the public to view their November “Art in the Library” exhibit featuring artist, Carolyn Andrejat. Her artwork will be on display throughout the library during regular business hours.
Carolyn Andrejat began her art journey when she and her husband Rick retired to St. Germain. Always wanting to paint, Carolyn found the beauty of the Northwoods the inspiration to get her going. Four years ago, she started taking classes in different media and has since concentrated on watercolor and pastels with various other water media art. “I love to paint the nature I see around me” she states.
Carolyn’s art also includes drawings with ink washed with watercolors, incorporating rice papers and tissue papers into the compositions, alcohol inks and acrylics. Although Northwoods landscapes are a favorite to paint, Carolyn spreads her love of painting in a variety of subjects.
Since her first art class with Dale Popovich of Conover, Carolyn has become involved with the Lakeland Art League, belongs to the Manito Art League, and has earned an Honorable Mention in the 2019 WRAP (Wisconsin Regional Art Program) show. “Dale Popovich got me started on the right track with my art,” said Carolyn.
You can see Carolyn’s artwork at the Lakeland Art League Gallery located in the Great Northern Coffee Shop and at the Natural Northern boutique, both in Minocqua.
Carolyn is new to the visual arts, but she is not new to being creative. Art had given her a whole new world to explore and learn in retirement, and she loves to share it. Her journey is just beginning. Stop by to see Carolyn’s artwork during regular library hours now through the end of November.
