November Art in the Library
The Boulder Junction Public Library welcomes the public to view their November Art in the Library exhibit featuring the art of the Lakeland Art League’s members. The exhibit will begin on November 4th. Meet the artists at a reception that will take place on Saturday, November 23 from 12:30-2pm.
The Lakeland Art League exhibit will showcase member artists of varying levels of expertise. The mediums may include watercolor, oil, pastel, acrylic, among others. The show features a variety of Northwoods artwork.
The Artists’ Reception will take place on Saturday November 23 between 12:30 pm and 2pm. At this event, the Art League will be presenting small original paintings -lovingly referred to as “Itty Bitty Beauties”- that members have painted and contributed as a fundraiser for the league. These make wonderful stocking stuffers. The reception is free and open to all. It provides the public with the opportunity to view the artwork on display and meet many of the artists. Light refreshments will be served.
The Lakeland Art League (LAL) is a social organization promoting visual arts in North Central Wisconsin offering educational programs, workshops, scholarships, and art events. LAL provides workshops from April until October. These are free to members and open to the public for a small fee. They meet monthly to plan and socialize, sharing their ideas and their art. Other activities of interest in which members can participate are sponsored art exhibits, exhibit openings, venues for sales opportunities and field trips to various art related events.
