Outdoor Movie Nights This Summer!

The library invites you to attend Outdoor Movie Nights this summer. All family-friendly movies are FREE to the public and will be shown on a big screen in the grassy field behind the Boulder Junction Community Center. Seating will not be provided; please bring blankets or chairs. Free popcorn and lemonade will be provided, but outside snacks and refreshments are also allowed. Bug spray is advised.

The Tuesday, August 15 mopvie is an Encanto Sing-along. Deep in the Colombian mountains, the Madrigal family possesses an extraordinary secret. Each member of the family is able to perform magic. Yet at the heart of the family is 15-year-old Mirabel, who does not seem to possess any unusual abilities. Faced with this harsh reality, Mirabel struggles to reconcile her place within her family while searching for who she truly is. The movie features with all-new songs by award-winner Lin-Manuel Miranda. Starring Stephanie Beatriz, Maria Cecilia Botero, John Leguizamo, Wilmer Valderrama, and many more. Directed by Jared Bush, Byron Howard, and Charise Castro Smith. The movie is rated PG and runtime is 99 minutes.

Outdoor movies are weather dependent. If the movie must be canceled due to rain, it will be posted on the library’s Facebook page and website. Due to using shared equipment on a tight schedule, there will only be one alternate rain date if canceled due to poor weather. Admission, popcorn, and lemonade are free. Not all movies will be appropriate for young children, please refer to movie ratings or read movie reviews.
