The Boulder Junction Public Library is hiring a part-time Library Assistant to work closely with the Library Director. We are seeking a friendly, outgoing individual with a passion for libraries and customer service.
Essential duties will include basic circulation functions, cataloging and processing, supervising volunteers, and assisting customers in making use of the library’s resources. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, have proficient technology skills, be a reliable team player, enjoy working with children and adults, and strive to provide quality service while maintaining customer privacy.
Minimum Requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, computer experience, ability to lift 30 lbs, agility to reach lower library shelves, and ability to drive to library service meetings at various locations in Northern Wisconsin.
The position is 12 hours per week, including some evening and Saturday hours; plus additional shifts to cover for illness or vacations as needed. A complete position description is available HERE or can be picked up at the library.
