Children's Summer Reading Program

Children will find “Oceans of Possibilities” this summer at the Boulder Junction Public Library’s Children’s Summer Reading Program. Activities may include songs, group games, crafts, art projects, science and engineering experiments, and more.

The 2022 Summer Reading Program starts Wednesday, June 22 and meets every Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 am through August 10 outside in the covered Lions Pavilion or in the Boulder Lake meeting room.

Here is a schedule of weekly programs and events:

JUNE 22 –Intro to “Oceans of Possibilities”.

JUNE 29 – Explore Great Lakes Invasive Species.

JULY 6 – Survivor Island

JULY 13 – Paint with Kate. Join us for a painting class and create a beautiful ocean landscape

JULY 20 - Special Presenter – North Lakeland Discovery Center Naturalist, Licia Johnson.

JULY 27 – Lego Ocean Creatures

AUGUST 3 – Special Presenter – Trees for Tomorrow Birds of Prey

AUGUST 10 – End of Summer Party and Grand Prize Winners Announced

The Summer Reading Program is open to children age preschool through 8th grade. Families are encouraged to participate in the program together. Children 7 and under do need a parent or guardian present for the program.

You need not attend the weekly programs to be eligible for grand prizes; however, you must read to be eligible for grand prize drawings. Pick up reading logs at the library.
