Cookies and Candies Wanted!

Cookies Wanted PosterCold weather and the first snow flurries are a reminder that the holidays are just around the corner! This holiday season, you can help the Boulder Junction Public Library by donating your homemade cookies or candies for the Friends of the Library Annual Cookie Walk. This festive library fundraiser will be held in conjunction with the Boulder Junction Christmas Walk on Friday, November 28 at 4 pm in the Acorn Lodge lobby.

The Friends have freezer space and will accept donations of homemade cookies and candies starting now. Please bring your sweet treats to the library during operating hours; Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 10am – 1pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10 am – 7pm, or to the Acorn Lodge on the day of the sale between 2:00 and 3:30 p.m. Your support is greatly needed and a batch or two of your homemade treats would be appreciated!

And, new this year is a Cookie Baking Day. Join the Friends of the Library in making holiday themed cookies for the Cookie Walk. There will be something for everyone to do from making the cookie dough, baking the cookies, and decorating the cookies. Perfect for those who don’t like to do it all or don’t like to make a mess in their own kitchen.

The Friends are also looking for donations of items for Cookie Baking Day such as ingredients, prepared dough, ready-to-decorate cookies, sprinkles, frosting, icing, food coloring, baking tools, and air-tight containers. These items should be dropped off at the library no later than 1pm on Saturday, November 15 or brought with you if you are participating in Cooking Baking Day

Please call the library at 715-385-2050 for more information or questions.
